Micro-Grants

Micro-Grants Available

Be Brave For Life is pleased to offer one year micro grant(s) of up to $20,000 for research pilot projects, research bridge funding, or community outreach and hospital based programs. The purpose of our grants is twofold:

Research for a cure of benign brain tumors

Provide seed funding for high-risk,high-impact research that has the potential to change current diagnostic or treatment paradigms for adults and children with benign brain tumors or cerebrovascular disease. Alternatively, funds may be used to bridge a gap between grants received from other entities, such as the National Institute of Health (NIH) or international funding agencies.

Outreach and support

Provide funds for brain tumor or cerebrovascular community outreach programs aimed at  informing, educating and serving families faced with such a diagnosis. Likewise, hospital based programs, designed to help make life easier for children receiving treatment for brain tumors, are encouraged to apply.

Applications

The Be Brave For Life Micro Grant Program will require a letter of intent (LOI). Where applicable, submission of discovery-driven science and proof-of-concept studies is encouraged, particularly for concepts with little or no history of previous funding.
To apply for this grant, please submit a LOI of no more than 3 pages that includes the following:
